A picture from the Stockport Express 1952 of an unamed court in Portwood, posing the question,"This is a corner of a court in Portwood, where people have made their homes pre this and several other wars. Will it be occupied post the next war?" The answer was, no, as most of the housing in Portwood was demolished in the mid 1960's slum clearance programme!
